Week 16 Summary

The Battle for Second was indeed a battle. Only two survived. It is tough to pick a winner after the best 15 teams are off the board. Say goodbye to Mike Boggs (last year's co-champion), Paul Buckley, Hillary Davidson, Cairo Marsh, George and Doris Melissinos (sharing a pick as DoGe), George Melissinos, Jeremy Tucker, and Judy Williams.

A few interesting notes from week 16:

Mike Boggs went undefeated last year and lasted into week 16 this year. I can't remember anyone going 31-2 in 33 weeks. Great job Mike!

Three entries were riding the default all year and they were eliminated. The default pick has never lasted this long. Paul Buckley, Hillary Davidson and Cairo Marsh almost had a piece of the pie. But, as proven true in every prior year, riding the default did not produce a pay out.

Finally, George Melissinos was undefeated through 14 weeks and then picked two consecutive losers to come up empty. A good effort, but not enough.

Two remain alive for second, Sam Heermans and Leo Kourkoulos.
